WLS dubbing screencaps
nothing much... it's yet again another slow day on bae-front, just wanna share some screencaps that japanese fan
koo with joon has done.
hope your christmas was a love-filled one, everyone.
happy hols!
sorry i've been missing in action again... was down with a very bad cough and it's causing me to stay up practically four nights in a row already. me wondering if i would be able to sleep tonight. and of course, i was also updating that other blog.well, that one's just starting and my two other partners-in -crime ain't likely to be very active these two weeks, so i thought i'd make use of the hols to do some blogging over there. and meanwhile, seems like all's rather quiet on bae-front.you know, wuri yong joon used to leave us messages on christmas eve, and sometimes on his birthdays too. and he seemed to like writing in the late night, coz more often than not, his messages would be posted at 2am korean time or something like that. i remember back in those days, sometimes there might be 'rumors' that he could be posting on a certain night, and some of us would actually stay up just to wait.hehe, thinking back... me wonder why on earth we waited for a message that may or may not be posted. and even if posted, it's in korean and it's not like i understood korean. but it just seemed nice to know that he was thinking about us, and that at that time when we were waiting, he was sitting in front of his computer typing out his thoughts.hang on... actually, if we know him like we know him, then chances are he would have penned down his thoughts on a piece of paper beforehand and would be typing out the message as per the paper, hehe!when was the long time he left us a message?and i mean a REAL message.
not one of those video messages where he would invariably say 'annyong haseyo, bae yong joon imnida...' and he would proceed to just tell us about the work he's doing, or work he's completed, and then ask for all of us to expect his work soon and to support him, and then he will end off by wishing all good health. and then, thank you very much....yea, i want real words, real thoughts from the real man. i don't want to hear anymore politically correct and oh-so-polite passages from the actor.
yong joon-ssi, can you hear me? it's you, the rather serious man with dreams that are big enough to change the world or at least some parts of the world; it's you, the fully grown man who has somehow maintained a rather innocent and untainted view of some things; it's you, the man with such a high level of self-awareness and who constantly wants to live as a better man today as compared to yesterday... that i've fallen so hard for. but these days, you just go into hiding so much that i don't feel you much, don't hear you much. of course, i believe and i believe very very very firmly that you're still the man i believe you to be. the chinese have this saying 十年如一日... i think this applies very much and very aptly to you. you would be fundamentally the same today as you were ten years ago, and your basic value system and your very character wouldn't change all that much in these ten years. so in a way, the ten years is like just one day. but seriously, think about it... as an actor and as an artist/e, you've a role to play, and you've a job to do.
don't you think you've stayed away for far too long? don't you think you've made us wait for far too long too?
and honestly, you've made us wait too long for too many times too.
i can fully understand and even support your decision not to partake in those entertainment programs. my 'leader induction' has been quite a successful one, in that i now have a better understanding on how korean entertainment programs are like. and yes, i totally agree that you don't belong to those, and you just don't fit in.
(but that said, even though i can't picture you in Strong Heart, Family Outing, or YSMM and stuff, i do think that there are some talk shows that you could appear on, like Chocolate...?)so other than through your works, it's very hard for your fans to see you, do you know that? plus, you don't appear frequently (if at all!) at fashion shows, opening parties, VIP premieres for movies, etc... you know, the usual circuit that entertainers run through. don't you think you really do demand a whole lot from us, your fans? you finish one work, and you would practically disappear for months, years sometimes, and when you make your comeback, you expect us, fans, to still be around for you...? i know fans have a 'duty' to their idols too, but honestly, it takes two hands to clap. even if you don't appear in front of us.
is it really THAT MUCH to ask that you just leave us a message, say twice or three times a year? is that even asking for too much? i honestly do not think so. sighs... then again, we bae-fans are such suckers, no? even though he's like that, we would cook up and put up reasons and excuses for him. and we would say it's his personality, therefore... .and we would say he's different and unique, and therefore cannot be expected to behave like the rest of the celebs, blah blah blah....don't you think i know? you're talking to a fan who's been around since 2002. that's a helluva long time by anyone's standards. i've gone through quite many waiting periods. and i've run through many reasons and excuses for him too.but for the life of me, i just cannot comprehend the difficulty in him leaving messages for his fans.yong joon-ssi, i think you, at the very least, owe us that much. or rather, you, at the very least, should do that for us.
especially given that your agency doesn't quite update us either. sure, manager yang sometimes leaves messages on the mobile blog for the mobile service subscribers. but honestly, that's supposedly for a small, targeted audience, and not intentionally meant for ALL fans, don't you agree?so... yong joon-ssi, while you expect us, fans, to understand you and stand by you and believe in you... don't you agree that such expectatons come only AFTER we get to know you? and how on earth do you expect us to get to know you if you don't make enough conscious effort to communicate with us?i know i sound like i'm ranting. i know i sound like a bitter fan who's upset. but the truth is.... i'm not upset, nor am i complaining. in fact, right this moment, i'm actually very calm and rational and am just vocalizing my thoughts, that's all.and at the end of this post (which i do hope to wrap up pretty soon... but you never know, hehe! this princess doesn't know when to stop!), i know i will still be around, and i will still proudly call myself a bae-fan. but i really really really wish wuri yong joon would do more for us, fans.anyway... here's wishing all of you (and of course, him too... even though he didn't think it was necessary to wish his fans a merry christmas) happy hols and may the coming new year bring you only good news, good people and good things. or maybe we will be fortunate enough to hear from him on new year's eve...?
meanwhile, i will leave you with something that mariko has posted on the BYJ thread on soompi.she posted, Did you hear the latest tidbits? Last Dec. 21, BYJ hosted a party for Mr. yang's new born baby at GIK.According to some sources (read from innolife the info is from the Korea sisters), YJ will start a new project early next year. The new project will be a combination of action/drama. It is not mentioned if it is a movie or a drama.
