[vod] byj, the voice of green

and yea... all the earlier postings were all gearing up for.... THIS!

courtesy of 413conan

those of you new to my blog may be unfamiliar with my older postings. for the 'interests' of these newbies, shall just be long-winded and declare my immense and eternal love for wuri yong joon's voice.

i'd said here that...

"he was every bit as beautiful as i had imagined. and more! but what really struck me was his beautiful voice. velvety rich, it's almost like a caress on the skin to hear him speak. and he looked so shy!! so cute so cute so cute!!"

and i'd also said here that...

"Naturally, I did not understand a word of what he said. But that did not reduce any pleasure of hearing him first-hand. His voice was as lovely as in the dramas that we’ve watched countless times. It was not too high, not too low, a very nice manly baritone coated with a velvety film of sweetness. Just perfect!

I thought I could drown in the sight of this handsome man with such lovely voice. Really."

ahhhh... i truly truly truly love this man's voice!

and... if you're wondering what he'd said in the VOD for Seal The Deal, here, i've lifted joanne's posting from quilt. yea, it's wuri yong joon's narration for the Seal The Deal campaign.

No matter where you are living, warning message sent from the Earth is clear.

Due to climatic change that becomes serious every day, we will carry burden on our back that we are not able to cope with. As glaciers melt in both Poles and sea level rises with rising temperature on Earth, several million people are in danger. Scientists give warnings. If the Earth temperature rises by only 2 degree, there occurs grand extinction of living things on the Earth. By year 2025, two-thirds of human race will live in areas where water is in short supply, and mandatory displacement of millions of climatic refugees will become a reality.

We might have to inherit diseases, drought, and starvation to the next generation.

The climatic change is the reality. It is progressing in this very moment.

The greenhouse gas that we emit have reached its peak at this time.

Mr. Bahn Kimoon, the Secretary General at UN, determined the climatic change as the top priority task for human race in 21st Century.

And, in December 2009, in Copenhagen, Denmark, there holds a general assembly of the concerned countries for the Climatic Change Agreement which will decide on the Earth's future. There, leaders of various nations will discuss a new, long-term and effective climatic changes.

The 'Seal the Deal' Campaign, which is to close the Climatic Change Agreement in Copenhagen, is waiting for signatures from every one in Global Village who desires the conclusion of the Agreement.

From Africa,,,Europe,,,and to Asia, the 'Seal the deal' Campaign is collecting the wills of all Global Village people. Not only the experts but also the people in the entire world are aware of the necessity of the Climatic Change Agreement for the only one Earth.

The new Agreement will lead the green growth and sustainable low carbon economy.

The 'Seal the Deal' Campaign, to be accomplished by our signatures, are moving the policy makers, urging NGO Media, businesses, and general public in entire world to participate in the signature, and informing the importance of the climatic changes and the meeting in Copenhagen.

The success of the Copenhagen meeting depends on the following 4 agenda...

First, the developed countries will positively agree on the reduction goal of the greenhouse gases. Secondly, the developing countires will practice the plans to reduce the greenhouse gases. Thirdly, a fund is raised for the poor countries, victims of the climatic changes, to confront the climatic changes. Lastly, there is a guarantee that this fund can be used fairly and effectively.

Then, what are the things that we can do?

Please connect to homepage of the 'Seal the Deal' now and participate in the campaign... And then, place you signature..Our signatures will determine the history of mankind... We can make changes... Are we going to tell our children that we did nothing at the moment when we had hope?..

Seal the Deal...
Your signatures will save the Earth...

and... i've lifted the background of the Seal The Deal campaign from here to share with you.

About Seal the Deal!

The UN-led Seal the Deal Campaign aims to galvanize political will and public support for reaching a comprehensive global climate agreement in Copenhagen in December.

Climate change affects us all. Nine out of every ten disasters recorded are now climate related. Rising temperatures and more frequent floods, droughts and storms affect millions of people’s lives. This is set against a backdrop of financial and food insecurity.

On December 7, governments will gather in Copenhagen, Denmark to respond to one of the greatest challenges facing humanity. The main question will be how protect the planet and create a green economy that will lead to long-term prosperity.

Reaching a deal by the time the meeting ends on December 18 will depend not only on complex political negotiations, but also on public pressure from around the globe.

The United Nations has launched “Seal the Deal” campaign that encourages users to sign an online, global petition which will be presented by civil society to governments of the world.

The petition will serve as a reminder that our leaders must negotiate a fair, balanced and effective agreement in Copenhagen, and that they must seal a deal to power green growth, protect our planet and build a more sustainable, prosperous global economy that will benefit all nations and people.

THERE IS NO TIME TO WASTE:

STAMP YOUR VOTE
AND SEAL THE DEAL!

and the UNEP also has a youtube channel. here's a compelling clip that's being featured right now on the channel.

Six powerful voices.
Four stunning continents.
One compelling message.

there're more clips on the UNEP site too. click here to watch.

you may think one individual's strength is too small to make an insignificant difference to the shape of things to come. you may think you alone cannot change the world. you may think the happenings in the places mentioned above are too far and remote from where you are.

but, have you thought about what would happen if everyone else thinks like you? if nobody makes an effort at all, thinking that someone else will do it, or that it takes a much bigger movement than just one person's individual effort to make a difference to saving gaia, then i can assure you that nothing will change and the children of the future may not have a future at all.

click here to read about how every little bit counts. yea, 'every little bit counts' is sorta like the big theory in the whole green movement and energy-conservation exercise.

of course, like i've always said, there're two sides to everything. yea, even in this. there's another school of thought that advocates that people don't do certain 'little things' to conserve energy, as those 'little things' sometimes end up consuming even more energy.

but these so-called 'arguments' aside, i still think it's important to understand the principle of 'every little bit counts'. at the very least, we can try not to waste resources, ya? if you don't need a plastic carrier, then don't take it even if it's offered to you. if you would carry a hanky around, i can assure you fewer tissue packs will be used up. if you can walk or use the public transport, don't drive. if you can take a shower, don't take a bath.... it's all about making a conscious effort and a commitment on the 'little things', ya?

and... heard of the black google? click here to read about blackle. and i also find blackle tips useful.

and yea, before you shut down your computer today, go SEAL THE DEAL.

'Missionary for Environment' BYJ,
to deliver message at the UN Climate Meeting

BYJ will appeal the seriousness of climatic change to human race all over the world at UN using with his voice.

BYJ participated in a narration work in a public service video for 'Seal the Deal' Campaign, led by Bahn Kimoon, UN Secretary General. The 'Seal the Deal' is a global petition movement the UNEP (UN Environmental Plan) promotes. They are getting signatures from general citizens in the whole world to urge necessity of Climatic Agreement through its Seal the Deal homepage .

The Seal the Deal public service video, where BYJ participated in, will be introduced while entire world is watching at the 15th general convention of the concerned countries for UN Climatic Change Agreement, held in Copenhagen, Denmark from coming December 7 to 18. After that, it will be followed by movements in each country to urge Climatic Change Agreement, and it is planned to be used in a movement for Environmental Protection of the Earth in association with portal sites in Korea.

BYJ, having been interested in the environmental protection in ordinary times. delightfully accepted the proposal to participate in public service video from UN. He finished the narration work on 11 in recovering status after he suffered from the sepsis. In a 4 minutes 35 second long video, he appealed with powerful voice the necessity of Climatic Agreement. The format is to narrate in Korean with subtitling in English.

UN Climatic Change Agreement in this time is in preparation for the Climatic Agreement which will go into effect from 2012. The main point is making decision on responsibilities and standards for developed countries and developing countries to undertake, respectively, to reduce amount of green-house gas emission. Naturally, it will become a focus by press in entire world, and BYJ's voice will be introduced to the world.

On the other hand, BYJ also shot a CF to promote 'Visit Korea Years' recently. As the Promotional Ambassador for 2010~2012 'Visit Korea Years', he participated in the filming to inform sentiment of Korea going around places in Cholla Province. This promotional video is planned to be introduced to overseas tourists including Japan, etc, in short while.

BYJ on AB

late again... then again, what's new?

me kindda running out of words to start off my postings these days, it's always starting with 'me late again', or 'as usual, i'm late'... even i'm getting sick of typing these words, let alone you reading them. wonder when i will actually catch up. or perhaps it's better to forget about catching up, and just start from now?

but this blog is really for myself, so in a way, it kindda serves as a diary of records. while i've never been a bae-fan who reposts everything, i do try and make an effort to 'store' the key developments, the milestones, the important news and updates about wuri yong joon here, so that i can have quick reference material should i ever need the info in future. and of course, i've always made it a point to repost stuff that i personally enjoy, or interviews whereby he's said things that i personally agree with.

so there really is no cutting corners, is there? no matter how late, i still need to repost those 'key' stuff. i can only hope that when i repost those 'old' stuff, you guys will be patient and just bear with me.

anyway, wanna put up some bae pics tonight. it's been awhile since i open my my own blog to have wuri yong joon's pics greet me. let's do that tonight, shall we?

he still fronts the AB brand, and the fall/winter pics are out. korean fan style has also put up pics of the AB stores in seoul; seems like they've updated the stores with these latest pics as well. the season has changed over there, and it's getting colder these days. while i'm happy to read that wuri yong joon has gained some weight, but i hope he doesn't slacken and i hope he continues to nurse his body back to health. he's lost 10 kg, gained back three, so he's got another seven to go.

hwaiting, yong joon!

guess you guys know how i feel about the past AB pics. this time around, i feel there's a marked improvement. he looks less of an ahjussi, and more like an urban male with a rather balance lifestyle. still not the best portrayal of this man whose inside is even more beautiful than his already outstanding outside, but they'll do for now.

glad to see that he doesn't look sickly and overly thin in the pics. in fact, i personally thought he looks more relaxed and his smiles less 'forced' in these pics.

i really really really hope you're keeping well, yong joon-ssi.

you know, the pic above kindda reminds me abit of wuri yong joon during the period right after the untold scandal. maybe it's the hair...? here, a pic from one of the many, many, many magazine shots he did to promote the movie.

whoa, check out that broad chest! looks like his weight loss didn't take away the sexy bulk of his chest muscles!

love love love a man with broad shoulders and thick chest.

like i'd said before, there's something very warm, inviting and comforting about a man with a build like that. it's as though he can shelter you from anything in the world, that everything will be alright so long as he holds you in his arms.

keke! don't scold me! but the next pic brings me somewhere else! haha, somewhere really faraway!

he reminds me of harry potter in school!! you know how hogwarts (that's the school of wizardry that harry potter goes to, in case you didn't know) has a common room with a fireplace?

here, i've found a pic of the griffindor common room. yea, i know the fireplace in there doesn't look quite like the one wuri yong joon's standing in front of. but somehow harry potter, the fireplace in the common room where sirius black often appeared to speak with harry... all popped into my head the moment i saw the pic.

ah.... wuri yong joon and the bicycle!

does it remind you of the dongsen (EETV, taiwan's shopping channel) endorsement deal he had a few years ago? remember
this?

and... also, remember the july CF shooting where he was also spotted with a bicycle? hee, he seems to be always 'walking' the bicycle and not riding it!

oh, wait... i think he did ride on a bicycle in both winter sonata and also in the only MV he's ever appeared in, goodbye my love...

personally, i quite like the next two pics. i thought he looks natural, not so pose-y and looking directly into the camera. the dogs are just beautiful (but mighty scary)!!

yong joon-arh, when are you gonna play the guitar for us?

the princess prefers that you strum something for us, than to play the piano.

somehow the piano seems more formal and 'distant', and you probably wanna dress up for it. whereas if you play the guitar for us, you can just wear any old tee and torn jeans (i promise you will still look fab!) and just strum away anywhere, yea, even when you're sitting on the steps just like you did at the tokyo dome event.

would we ever have a chance?

and, would you ever hold a fan meeting again?

and i don't mean the tokyo dome type of fan meeting where the number of fans run into the tens of thousands. would you ever do something like what you did in taiwan, hong kong and singapore again? you know, something between 1,000 to 3,000 fans?

please?

before i go, wanna also share the AB BTS clip. thanks for sharing, tomato!

ps. recently, kept coming across articles about stars talking about loneliness. even the younger ones like leader and jung min are talking about them being lonely and all that jazz.

wuri yong joon too.

today, i came across something on a relatively young lady's blog. despite the difference in age, i felt as though she had spoken the words within me all this time. and, i couldn't have said it better. click here to read.

pps. if you read chinese, i also came across another entry by a rather famous taiwanese personality. yea, me too want to know why some men prefer to act like dogs.

interesting one to read, click
here.

shall leave you with a pic to explain why a single woman like me need shoes, hehe!

[KHJ] when fans gather...

haha, i know how contradictory i appear to be. just ten minutes ago, i was blogging about reducing the leader-exposure here, and here i am, still on the leader topic. keke, but though this post is related to leader, it ain't really a leader-leader post, k?

just wanna keep you updated about what i've been up to.

other than the personal projects (there's one more project that's under wraps now, not ready to share yet, sorry!), i've also been busy over the weekend. coz it's the SG TripleS fanclub's 200-day anniversary gathering!!

yea, following the rather successful first official fan gathering back on 22nd aug, the fanclub had organized its second fan gathering last sunday, on 22nd(!) nov.

i've sorted out the pics that i'd taken during the session and posted them on the forum. that section is restricted to fanclub members only, so sorry if you can't see it. but if you're a member, click here to check out the pics and the fans' sharing.

i know i've said to respect everyone's privacy and all, and have also made requests and appeals to fellow fans not to post fellow fans' pics all over the place. but hee, me gonna eat my own words here. haha, no choice lah, feeling abit hungry...!! am gonna put up some, just SOME, pics from sunday's gathering. won't put up the entire pics, instead will only put up the collages and i've also reduced the resolution so that the faces don't come up too clearly.

what i wanted to share is that the gathering was a blast! i had loads of fun, and from the faces of the peeps in the pics, i dare say the rest of the green peas agree with me.

the first pic's a collage of pics taken at various points during sunday's session.

here, you can see fellow members taking turns to stand up for their little self-introduction. like many others, i absolutely love the collective 'Ahhhh...' or 'Orh...' coming from everyone whenever someone's ID is a very active one and everyone recognizes it. it's fun! i love having a face put to the IDs!

but but but... it does get confusing when instead of just one ID, we have to remember the ID and also match it with their real names!

see the happy faces? am sure you can tell how much fun we had!

omo! we even had a dancer amongst us!

not sure if you're aware, but the SG TripleS fanclub has been organizing sessions for members to learn fan chants to the boys' songs. and during the last session, one of the members cin did a little dance performance. so, this time around, we didn't 'let her off' until she showed us her sleek moves.

and we all just lapped it all up!

and what was the most fun and rather surprising (to me, at least) was how the fans shouted out the fan chants in such loud, strong and clear voices! now i can almost imagine what fun it would be when the boys are actually here!

hope no one's upset that i've put up the pics here. if you are, you know how to find me, ya?

moving on... i think before the fans 'surface' and start to attend fan sessions and gatherings, most harbour some fear about meeting fellow fans for the first time. that's perfectly normal and completely understandable.

probably even 'scarier' for us noona fans... coz if we're going to a fan gathering for the first time, we would be worrying about whether we would be the oldest, whether everyone else would be teenyboppers and wondering why on earth an ajumma would be so besotted with five young boys, and they would be worrying about fitting in, how to behave.

yea, we would probably be worrying about what on earth to wear too! too matured, no good. too young might look like we're trying too hard. then how? it's like there's no way to win.

it already takes much consideration and plenty of courage just to say 'yes' to attend the gathering. then the days from saying 'yes' to the actual day of the event.... oh man, real torture!!

i assure you all noona fans will be torn between wanting to cancel and then thinking, what the heck, it's just a gathering. the pendulum of emotions and feelings.... hmmm, no fun at all.

come the actual day, even if you've settled on what to wear, you will be faced with yet another 'critical' decision. do you arrive early so that you can try to get to know at least a few people first? or do you step in right on time so that there's no awkward waiting period? or do you arrive fashionably late so that you can just slip in when things are already in full swing?

haha, how come attending a fan gathering can get this complicated leh? the princess thinks it's because we're stepping into new, unknown territories and the uncertainty breeds the butterflies in our tummies lor.

but once you've gotten over that, you'll be all right. i promise you.

there really are all sorts in the fanclub, in terms of age group, personalities, work areas, etc. if you would allow yourself that chance to just stay long enough to get to know some of them, you will realise that fellow fans are actually normal people too. no one is judging anyone, really.

whilst you may not find your soulmate or your BFF in a fanclub, but i dare say you will be able to find at least one or two new friends who will soon mean more than just fellow fans to you.

after all, what binds two people together more quickly than a common love or interest...? and the 'development' of the friendship can be 'accelerated' by attending fan sessions together, by traveling overseas to attend the boys' concerts together.

give yourself a chance to experience something new, to get to know someone new. no easier way than to join a fanclub and surface. get to know other people, and let other people get to know you too.

remember, a smile and an open personality can really greatly enhance an already-beautiful face.

for myself, i've 'picked up' some new friends too at the boys' fanclub.... like them..!!

and hee, like emz, am incredibly surprised at how much time i'm already spending with a few of them despite the relatively short period of time i've known them.

like emz, i'm also a teeny weeny bit worried about how spending more time together as we work on stuff and all may lead to further revelation of our personalities. what if we don't see eye to eye on things?

i mean, we all know it's one thing to just be hi-bye friends, and another to be friends who actually eat-and-play-together. and... it's another matter altogether to be friends who eat and play together, and on top of that, work on projects together....

i hope things will work out OK. there will always be conflicts and disagreements, i guess. after all, everyone's different, that's what makes everyone special and unique, ya? but we have to consciously remind ourselves that diversity can lead to better, greater things. if everyone in a group thinks in the same way, then we're in danger of this thing called 'groupthink'. that's unhealthy, ya?

but but but, the princess is a blood type B, and people say we're the poorest team players ever. uh-oh...!!

i guess being honest with our own feelings and with one another, being willing to communicate (and a large part of that is listening), keeping an open mind, and being able to work out differences without getting personal are critical factors to being able to work in a group.

let's hope with all these in mind, we will be able to iron out our differences and spin some magic on our shiny project.

[non BYJ] b(e) at my own pace

as all of you know, my web nic is bb.

i truly have a certain affinity with the letter B. well, for one, it's my fave alphabet. and two, hehe, my fave korean actor's name starts with B. even my identity card ends with B.

and... btw i'm not ashamed to say this... i'm a blood type B.

yea, yea, i've read the characteristics of a typical blood type B personality, and haha, there really is some truth in linking blood types to personalities! or at least there is, in my case. actually i'd blogged about blood type before, click here to read.

and oh, i'm also one of those who actually believe in stuff like horoscope... yea, the princess is a true-blue capricorn.

now, back to blood type B. if the modern literature and even movies (remember the movie, My BF is Blood Type B?) are anything to go by, it sure sucks to be a blood type B in korea. and probably in japan, too? since the people from these two countries are quite possibly the ones who believe in this the most.

so what's a blood type B personality supposed to be? in a nutshell, people like me are supposed to be all of the following:

-very active to work and hobbies
-positive
-have diverse interests and curiosity
-have good sense especially for art
-easily warmed up but just as easily cooled down
-dislike team playing work
-like to do things at one’s own pace

errr... i'm not so sure about the good sense for art, but the rest seems true enough.

in particular, the last one rings so true it almost hurts my ears, haha! yea, me hate to rush people, and i also really dislike being rushed. when i think something is urgent, i will do it even without anyone telling me or reminding me so. but if i think something is not in urgent need of attention, reminding me will only piss me off.... yea, am the 'own time, own target' type.

yea, yea, one of the worst to manage. but but but, coz i also happen to have a terribly strong sense of responsibility, so that kindda balances things off, and nope, i don't think i've ever had any issues with any of my bosses before.

what else...? according to this, we of blood type B are also described thus:

People with blood type B are the most practical of the blood groups. They are specialists in what they do. When they start a project, they spend extra time understanding and trying to follow directions than others might. When they are doing something, all of their attention is focused on it. They tend to stick to a goal and follow it through to the end, even if it seems impossible.

They tend to be less than cooperative, as they like to follow their own rules and their own ideas. They are individualists. B type people pay attention to their thoughts a little more than their feelings, and therefore can sometimes seem cold and serious.

People with blood type B are often considered more relaxed, freewheeling, and unconventional than other types, although not necessarily to an unacceptable degree. In anime, the genki, off-the-wall types are type B, along with any kind of well-intended character who's ruled by their impulses.

don't understand why they have to load on only the negatives... surely we people of blood type B have got good points too! so tell me, tell me, where where where are the good bits?

and the princess has always thought B stands for BEST. ya, we of blood type B are the best, and we're also very balanced. see? these are such good points!!

where am i leading to with all these seemingly nonsensical ramblings? well, i've just about had enough of people telling me, subtly or otherwise, to 'return' to bae-blogging. when i have the time, and when i'm ready to, and when i'm in the mood, i will.

it's one thing to show concern and also to let me know that you're still waiting patiently for me to 'return', but it's quite another to actually tell me that my blog no longer looks like a bae-blog, and looks completely like a leader blog.

let me remind you, this is MY blog, in case you haven't noticed. and i also know how my blog looks like, so thank you very much.

to be completely honest with you, i am trying to 'come back'. i really am. so when i'm already trying my very best to 'come back', and yet i still have people on my back pushing me about it... how do you think i feel?

i've already sorted out the photos from my japan trip, and am just waiting for when i actually can find the time to start blogging about the trip, k? if you can be patient, i will really appreciate it very much. pushing me will not get either me or you anywhere, ya? i've already said i will, so i will.

as freewheeling as blood type B people are, we're also people who keep our word. besides, remember? we're supposed to be the very thorough type, and we're also dedicated and committed to our hobbies and interests? so yea, since i'm still a bonafide bae-fan, i will 'come back', k?

now moving on... i would like to share that i will be embarking on a few personal projects soon. have been doing some thinking, planning, and also surfing around as part of research and fact-finding, and am happy to share that i'm near-ready to start working on these projects proper.

one, i've been thinking of migrating my blog to wordpress.

but coz i've been blogging since 2005 (strange how sometimes it feels like just yesterday that i started blogging, and yet at other times, it feels like forever!), and there're like close to 4,000 posts, i'm abit worried about losing data, losing links and stuff during the migration. other than me preferring the wordpress platform, this is also (hopefully) to solve the lag problem that some of my blogders face. yea, quite a few of you have given me feedback that it takes an ultra-long time to open up my blog.

two, as you all know, i'm a leader fan and not really a SS501 fan, so i had been feeling kindda miserable spending so much time on the SG TripleS fanclub. happy to share that i've officially stepped down from the committee member role with effect from 15th nov. yup, am now a happily unburdened ordinary member.

well, the only unhappy part about this whole stepping down business is that my ID has been turned green on the forum. when i was setting up the forum, i had set the colour of the global moderators' IDs as pink since that's my fave. but sighs... i've been 'downgraded' from pink to green now...

anyway, what i'm driving at is that one of my personal projects is related to leader. i will share more progressively as more things are up, k?

the bae-bloggers might be happy to read this... since i've already started a leader blog, i'm hoping to do more bae-blogging, and less leader-blogging here. i guess it will never be completely leader-free, since this is my personal blog and there will be bits of my life that will still be 'intertwined' with leader, but i foresee that the frequency of leader-blogging will reduce significantly here.

and.... those leader-fans amongst you! go check out my new leader blog! it has all of ONE post, haha! but i want you to go read that short entry and tell me, who do you think the three gals are.

will be back blogging soon. yea, at both places.

c'ya!

[non BYJ] starry starry nights...

sorry for not blogging much these days... but I promise you this, I will be 'back' soon.

and when I come 'back', if you guys are still here, I will make sure I make it up to you, ya?

huh? you're asking how?

hee, by blogging so much that you will practically ask me to slow down else you can't catch up. and you can take what I just said as a dare or a threat; hehe, up to you.

now recently I've kindda developed a teeny weeny bit of a fascination with stars. will share more of my starry obsessions and the many starry starry nights later...

for now, the princess really really really needs to go sleep abit before the sun comes up, yea? shall leave you with something someone's shared with me recently, something that's related to stars too! and... more significantly, something that the princess is working on with a couple of lovely gals (whom I'm trying to convert into self-proclaimed princesses too, haha!)...

you are a shining star;
I am but an ordinary girl.

(that sounds a tad sad, doesn't it? yea, the princess feels sad for those ordinary girls too... thank goodness it doesn't apply to me, wakaka...!)

in the princess' case, it shall read:

you are a shining star;
I am the sparkling princess <3
(& of course together, we live spectacularly ever after!)

[non-BYJ] my love affair with mickey

now i've said many many many times here on my blog that i love mickey and minnie. don't ask me why, i've just loved them since years and years ago.

i can still remember my very first outing to disneyland. it was in the states and that was back in the 1990s; and yea, i was child no more. but still, i queued for over an hour just to see mickey and to have a picture taken with him.

but i remember i was super disappointed that trip. coz it was a year-end trip and disneyland was decked out the fullest of full christmas frills and all. so mickey wasn't wearing his usual red-black ensemble with the yellow shoes. he was actually in a tux...!!!

so what happened was when i visited disneyland for the second time (in tokyo), i joined the queue again to take a pic with mickey in his 'traditional' suit, haha!

there's something about seeing those mickey and minnie ears that make me feel happy. and as old as i am now, i still wear my mickey and minnie tees out. just saturday, in fact, i was wearing my sparkling mickey tank top when i ran into two sgtriples members, hee!

so i've got this slight obsession with those headgear or headband that are shaped like mickey or minnie's ears.

seems like i ain't alone in this thing. i've just come across a blogger who also had the same 'crush' on minnie ears, read
this.

well, it's kindda made me wonder how many mickey and minnie fans there are out there, amongst the adult women. and, how many of these adult women too have a thing for minnie ears...

and... am sure the more trend-conscious peeps amongst you would know that these ear thingy have been brewing for awhile... yea, even lady gaga did these gigantic bow things, no?

and even the couture side of fashion wasn't spared these ears, haha!

and i kid you NOT.

models (and real people) actually wear these things out! nope, i don't think they look funny at all! in fact, i thought their eye makeup look funnier, hehehe!

even one of the more notable fashion bloggers in singapore went out to an event with minnie ears recently! click here to read all about it.

and how can i NOT talk about these ultra-feminine and uber-lacey headgear?!! yea, i love love love love love these things! oh please, someone, anyone, organize an event or a party thingy such that i can wear one of these 'legitimately'!!

see? there're people who DO wear these things!!

incidentally, me thinks these make great concert props too!

so if i were to have a fanclub, i would, and i really really really would design a more-than-fab headgear and sell them so that fans can wear to the concerts. i mean, with these things, you just have to pop them on your head and you don't have to bother afterwards. no need to hold them, so that leaves your hands free to wave, to blow kisses at your idols, to hold the lightstick, etc etc etc...

see? i ain't the only one with the fab idea! not exactly sure who HAE is, but i do know he/she is a korean singer, and his/her fans had made these headband thingy that can light up! cool!

am sure you would have noticed by now that leader too sports one of these headgear thingy at the encore segment of the persona concerts. a seemingly innocent one with just round black ears, and discreet in size too. but but but, did you know that his name is written out in luminous green (in korean) on the back of these 'ears'...?

nice touch!

another version.... but this one's red and in heart-shaped. same thing, it's got his name written on the hearts. i like, i like, i like!

don't you think these things are very happy looking?

and most recently... in fact, just on saturday night in shanghai. one of the chinese fans threw up this pair of PINK ears onto the stage for leader.

it's PINK!! me loves!!

yes, i know this is kyu, not leader.

what i wanted to show you is the person with the back towards us behind kyu. see leader's name in green on the back of the ears?

still on mickey ears.

hehe, how on earth does a mickey fan like me resist a cute boy with mickey ears like THIS?!!!

and what about this? in mickey tee?!!

i think i'm a goner, and am done for a long, long time to come.... (sorry, it's early days yet, so i won't say i'm done for life... yet, hehe!)

for now, maybe i should pay more attention to the tutorial on how to make lacey ears here.

yea, this pair of singaporean gals keep a fantabulous blog on fashion and their DIY ideas are just ingenious! one of their latest blog entries actually shows you how to wear a guy's shirt as a skirt and look absolutely stylish...

and yup, yup, their tutorial will supposedly teach us how to create headgear like these ones!

ps. while i'm on the mickey topic, just in case you're bored to tears and are looking for rubbish to read, i've got some mickey-related blog entries from before.

click
here, here and here to read more about my love affair with the happiest mouse on earth.

pps. side-track and rambling on a little bit here... you know, the princess really believes that while there's a peter pan in every man, there's also a little girl in every woman.

[KHJ] all tuxed up!

sighs... when will i ever catch up with the boy's news?

and hehe, what a great thing to be able to say boy's instead of boys'...!!

okie, okie, gotta blame it on my own laziness... i stayed in the whole of today, meaning to catch up on ALL the things that i've been neglecting since i put so much time, heart (sorry, not so much soul though) into that FC. things as mundane as reading the papers, spending time with my parents, catching up on my own reading, clearing the stuff piling up on my desk, sorting out the shopping bags here, there, everywhere... but hehe, ended up i practically did nothing, other than clearing a week's worth of newspaper reading.

and yea, yea, i did spend abit of time going through the chinese sites for the boys' concert stuff and also yea, i read about the chaos at the airport when they left today... more about that later, if i do get to the 'later' at all, haha!

for now, i wanna do sort of a continuation of that style icon post that i just did recently. remember i was talking about how i loved and still love leader with that einstein hair and all tuxed up? yea, that set me looking for pics of him in tux. here goes!

this one's from MVIO... sorry about the low quality of the pic, am feeling abit lazy to go search for high-res ones... like him like this too!

another posey CF one... this one's younger and more casual, and belted instead of wearing the cummerbund.

you know, i really didn't like leader's look during BOF. he was just looking way too skinny, too much like a malnourished kid with orangey hair in the beginning. and later, with the haircut, he was still way too skinny and way too pale. the entire period he just looked sickly and quiet.

i was happy when the drama's over, and we could stop worrying about them getting into accidents, or sleeping too little, or fainting too much.

post-BOF... still skinny, but better. at least the cheeks were puffier, no?

and the next batch of pics are WGM-related.

remember the MBC awards where the ssangchu couple won best couple? yea, he was in a tux. click here if you wanna watch the clips again.

here, leader seen on the red carpet. seems like both leader and buin were nearly late that night (came together after rehearsal...?), but he showed up on the red carpet by himself. yea, he's in the midst of BOF filming during that time, and was looking toooooo.... skinny and sickly. i thought he's lost his spirit a little that night.

yea, i know he sometimes zones out, but he was just more than being zoned out that night. shrugs...

perking up a little in this pic...

i thought buin looked lovely in the simple black gown.

but but but.... surely she didn't think that the SCR really went perfectly well with the outfit, ya? hehe, didn't it make you wonder why on earth a fashionista like buin would actually wear that SCR to go with her floor-length gown? yea, the ring's black, but it's hardly even cocktail dress material, let alone blacktie?!

was it her lucky ring? or was it her special ring...?

oh man, the boy's really tall!

okie, i'm officially missing the sweetness of the ssangchu couple. been missing them for sometime now, that's why i've resorted to re-watching some of the WGM joongbo cuts lately.

surely one can't fake shy sweetness like this..?

and some of the lines spoken in the show.... i mean, even if we discount the fact that these two are professional entertainers and that they know the rules of the game, surely some of the lines were just way too telling, way too significantly personal for a variety show that's supposedly just for fun and entertainment?

i mean, even if for the ultimate entertainment value, one does not have to say things like, 'i feel you're someone sent by the heavens...' and what about the 'don't lose me'...?

too many questions, not enough answers.

moving on, moving on.... you know, i really like buin.

but it sure wasn't 'love' at first sight though. didn't even know who she was at first, since i never watched korean variety programs at all. i remember thinking how come this woman's so different from the usual korean actresses i was more used to? she's like so dark and so 'exotic' looking, and her voice's so low and her laugh so raspy. and she brought the visual effect for the term ROFL.

but slowly, i grew to love this woman. her personality, her generosity... and her ability to have that near-perfect combination of being cool and feminine all at the same time. so slowly, i started to even wonder if i myself could ever become someone like her. to me, she embodies so much in one woman. for instance, to leader in WGM, she's a wife, a best friend, a girflfriend, and she's also family... yea, all into one.

i don't even dream about being 100% like her. that would be like an impossible dream. i only ask to be 50.1% like her. she's just too cool.

anyway, since we're talking about buin, will take the chance to share some pics of her recently. she was seen at lee dong hun's wedding on 14th nov. first, am serving up two pics of the newlyweds.

here, here... our buin's here!

and i absolutely adore her hairdo!!!

not sure if you guys know i've a thing for mickey and minnie, and i also love love love cute headgears like minnie ears and stuff! and omom, buin does too...?!!

okie, okie, i do know that these things are actually in fashion now, but i like how buin didn't overdo it. can someone teach me how to do up my hair like this..? please pretty please...?

her eyes are so alive in the pic below, i like i like i like!

next, i wanna bring your attention to her wonderfully luscious body... sighs, i wish i'm sporty and athletic like buin! and i wish i've her arms and legs and waist and bust and butt.... okie, that covers just about everything...

noticed the bag?

noticed the skull on the bag?

yea, yea, this is the very much-coveted and very pricey thomas wylde skull clutch!!!

i love the distressed leather, i like the old-style foldover look, and i love love love the skull...! but gosh, the RRP is (GASP!!) US$1,495.

and... buin was already carrying it when she attended one of her ex-chakra members' wedding in january this year.

what can i say? this woman has taste in boys and bags!
