[KHJ] still sobbing over concert
the gals just boarded the plane.
yea, to seoul, that's where.
and tomorrow this time, they would have had just enjoyed a fantastically wonderful time at the concert ground. they would have had just finished listening to the boys sing live, watching the boys dance live, and yea, basically screaming their hearts out, shrieking with every move and every gaze they boys make, and yea, perhaps even stomping their feet fiercely for encores, again and again...?
sighs... me really really really wish i'm able to go too!
funny why i would choose to torture myself by watching the boys' past mini concerts, past fan meetings, and basically, their past performances. coz with each one i watched, i could only think of what it would be like to be there tomorrow, and the day after. and i know whatever i could have imagined, the real thing's probably gonna be ten times better.
like how it would feel to be surrounded, to be in the midst of the sea of green.
like how it would feel to be able to chant double-s-five-o-one... and to sing a song calling for you together with them.
hehe, since i've enough of torturing myself, i will make you suffer too. don't care, you, yes you, watch these clips too! and yes, eat your hearts out too!
the following were all part of the new UR Man special DVD that was released in mid july. and these clips are from their mini concert from late last year.

you know, i'd read somewhere that the boys have been keeping fit and muscling up their bodies abit. seems like leader, kyu jong and baby have been rather fit and all... and that article that i'd read said something about the boys unveiling their now-fitter bodies. hmmm... am i supposed to think that they will tease a little? well, it IS summer after all...
yea, that's what i will be missing out on over the weekend as the SgTripleS gals watch the SS501 boys in concert L.I.V.E.

SS501 to work hand in hand with Justin Timberlake’s choreographer
5-member male group SS501 will be working with the choreographer of famous pop singers Justin Timberlake and Usher.
According to a representative from DSP media agency on 30th July, “SS501 will have solo performances as well as sing new songs from their latest album during the concert.”
He added, “World leading choreographer has helped us with choreographing the dances for SS501 according to the new songs.”
AJ has also been visiting SS501’s concert rehearsals and practice room, to give them guidance and advice. AJ is famous for being Michael Jackson’s dance teacher and has other talented students under his belt, including Fatima Robbins, Usher and Justin Timberlake.
AJ said, “I have seen SS501’s abilities and skills through their videos. I hope that I will be able to help them while I’m in Korea.”
Meanwhile, SS501’s Asia Persona concert Tour will be held from 1st-2nd August at the Olympic Park Gymnastics Stadium in Seoul. Their new album will be released in mid-August.
p.s. incidentally, kimichilicious has decided to go on a hiatus. yea, she's gonna stop blogging for awhile to keep up with her studies. but she did say she'll be back in 2010!

it's late and i'm tired... actually i've alot of stuff to blog about, but i just don't have enough time. prioritize, prioritize, i tell myself. hehe, since i've been blogging soooooo... much about hyun joong these days, will share about wuri yong joon then.
after all, there're so many young and active SS501 as well as leader fans around, they can do the updating, and you can read up on leader and SS501 somewhere else, ya?

okay, seems like wuri yong joon had another CF filming on 28th july (tue). style had shared the news on byjgallery, and lihuang33 had done a chinese trans-in-brief on baidu BYJ thread.
she'd shared that wuri yong joon had some filming work going on on the afternoon of 28th at jurassic studio. and they say it's located at namyangjyu, which is located at gyeonggi province. i'd tried googling, but just couldn't seem to find anything that's called jurassic studio, image factory.
anyway, he's said to be filming something relating to japanese products...? does anyone know for sure?

and... as we all know, the two japanese women weeklies would have something on wuri yong joon without fail. this time around, i wanna talk about shukan josei.
once again, it's snowkin who had shared the gist of what the article had carried. yup, yup, it's on loveyongjoon again.
now this issue was out on 28th july and it covered the opening of the iwayama urushi art museum, which is slated to reopen on 1st aug (sat).
seems like wuri yong joon's not completely confident of his lacquer works. he had asked mr jun repeatedly if works such as his can really be exhibited... well, mr jun has a very good answer for his question. mr jun told wuri yong joon everyone in the family wants to see his works!
and remember this? yea, this is the single piece of work by wuri yong joon that will be on exhibit at the art museum. the article also said that mr jun was the one who had given the piece the name of love.
and... here's the main point of my posting. yea, yea, i sure took a long time to get here, ya?
that same article also said wuri yong joon is working very hard on his book, beauty of korea, everyday. but uh-oh, the man's not feeling well!
the article reported that as he's actually on IV as he's editing the book that comprises 13 themes... hope he's fully recovered by now or at least feeling better now.

me kindda late with this one, everyone else seems to have posted yesterday. but i've been busy... had a 7pm dinner appointment tonight, but ended up leaving the office only after 10pm. yea, was about 3.5 hours late. scary huh?
by the time i got there, my friends had already finished dinner and were just sitting around chatting. sighs... such is the pathetic life of a working woman..?
hehe, i've said this before, but since there're newbies at my blog these days, will just say it again. quite a number of people actually think i spend ALL my time outside of work blogging. nay, not true at all.
while i do spend way too much time online, but i really ain't blogging ALL the time. haha, sometimes i surf, sometimes i read other people's blogs, sometimes i read online news, sometimes i shop online, and sometimes, i chat with pals on the msn.
and i do have my offline moments too, you know. i read the papers, i read books. and i spend time with friends, and i enjoy eating out and spending time at the bookstores. and of course, i eat, sleep and do most other things that you do too.
should i be surprised that people think i don't have a life outside of this blog? i guess i shouldn't blame them for thinking this way, coz i do blog way more often than the average blogger. but you have to know this, i read and write way more often than the average person too. so... shrugs.
anyway, it's my life, and it's my time, and i shall spend my life and my time the way i wish to, ya?

our dear snowkin who has been doing A LOT of sharing on loveyongjoon sharedhere that there was a media event on the release of thatnintendo DS software. yea, that one of wuri yong joon teaching korean using WLS.
yup, there was a video message from wuri yong joon at that press event. they say it was recorded in the past one week. ah, very recent!

as usual, been busy... but just wanna share some newsy tidbits... 1.0 KBS shenyang singing contest
other than the beijing fan meet, there's another piece of news that are sorta making the chinese fans rather excited.
well, seems like KBS(yes, that korean broadcasting station) is gonna be hosting a national singing contest in shenyang, china on 13th sep (sun). understand that the contest will be held at the shenyang olympics stadium which has a capacity of 50,000.
rumour has it that they want to invite SS501 as the special guest for that day. well, if you ask me, i think it's highly unlikely. i mean this is a free program and the boys' schedule ain't exactly terribly open and free these days, so shrugs, i have my doubts...
read that the chinese fans had actually called up KBS shenyang to ask if SS501's really going. they were told that KBS korean side is trying to invite some korean artists over, but it's still uncertain who would be the special guests.
and this program will be screened in korea on KBS on 4th oct (sun) at 12:10pm. incidentally, that's chuseok period, one of the two major traditional festives in korea (the other one being the lunar new year)

2.0 starry night with park kyung lim
most leader or SS501 fans oughta be familiar with park kyung lim. after all, quite a number of those memorable variety shows in which the boys appeared in in their earlier days were hosted by her...

where was i..?
oh, PKL hosts a weekly radio show on FM95.9, called starry night with park kyung lim and she would invite celebs to her program and stuff. the media reported that these boys' last appearance together on a radio show was awhile ago they'd released deja vu... subsequently they'd sorta 'separated' for awhile to do different things. leader with his BoF drama, mal with his grease musical, and the other three forming a special unit...
and their 'radio comeback' was at PKL's show on 24th july. leader looked sooooo... good that night. good enough to eat, pretty grown-up look too!

3.0 SS501 persona concert
yea, the concert's just a couple of days away... and it seems to get better!
the boys will be releasing their second official korean full album next month, tentatively 22nd aug. and, they will be singing five new songs from the new album during the concerts!!
you know, i really would love love love to see leader sing be good to me live. hehe, i was wondering out loud to the girls last night if he would still do that crotch-grabbing dance move during the concerts. i was just curious what!
and one of the girls immediately said i've got a dirty mind.. .chay...
and oh, that's not all! they've just released the news that F4 will actually be reuniting on the SS501 persona concert stage!!
yea, guess it's no secret that the boys got along great during the BoF filming and have remained fast friends even after the wrap-up of the drama. so yea, they've been lending support to one another by popping up at one another's fan meetings! so, lee min ho, kim bum and kim joon will all be making special appearances at the SS501 concerts this weekend!
and i'm really really really turn green with envy!!

before i go, just wanna share that i've also read that the boys have really been working hard at practising and rehearsing... and they're taking this concert so seriously that they've actually duplicated the exact same stage and setting at another venue for their rehearsals these few days.
hmm.... quite unheard of, most artists will just do their rehearsals a day ahead at the actual site, but they've actually tried to perfect their act so much by creating an exact same stage for practice?
whoa... the concert will be good.

i remember hating the overall look and feel of the website. and i remember hating even more the layout and the navigation. and oh man, the tagboard, the tabs on top... i practically hated everything there.
and mind you, black is my favourite colour.
the site just didn't look like it had a personality, and it wasn't at all user-friendly nor inviting.
i know i wasn't the only one who felt that way. quite many fellow bae-shillang-fans shared the same sentiments. in fact, i'd even come across a few who didn't quite figure out how to even work that site.
and haha, this young lady here actually said and i quote,
I am so excited for Saturday - Asta and the Album. Omg!!!!! ^^v. I can't help but keep mentioning it. 4 more days. I love quainte501.com. My daily dose of SS501 & Kim Hyun Joong.
Sgtriples.com is awesome too, I get my merch from there!! Btw don't you think their layout really sucks?? My hands are itchy to make a layout for them but im lazy.. hahahaha. Ah I miss my 'layout making days'...
and... truth be told, the young ladies who had set up the fanclub did not imagine that the number of fans would grow this quickly. yea, they'd set up in may, and in about two months' time, the number of fans who had registered on the website ran into the hundreds.
before long, the founders were finding it hard to manage the site the way it was. not only was it cumbersome, the hosting package that they took also didn't allow them to manage the members the way a typical forum would. this translated into lots of manual work for the poor girls.
but hey, they're not IT-trained, and never worked in any dotcom companies, and there's not enough money to hire someone to whip up a sharp-looking website complete with forum... so you tell me, what's a girl to do?
so they gathered a couple more people and with fewer than five pairs of hands amongst them, they tried to re-do the entire website. of course, they had to enlist the help of a man... haha, it's always a man coming to the rescue, ya?
anyway, this wonderful guy friend helped to install the forum for them, and that's cutting the story really really short... coz the girls practically had to abandon the original hosting package that they had, and had to sign up for another package which would allow them to upload and install the forum software.
and yea, that means along the way, they'd lost the original black, user-unfriendly site.
and yea, that means the girls have to rebuild the site.
and trust me, if you haven't done this before, don't think it's that easy. coz it involves reading up, completing the initial settings, deciding what sections (or forums and sub-forums) you want to create, choosing the colour theme and skins... etc etc etc.
goodness, and it's not like the girls are full-time fans, you know. so they're sacrificing their sleeping time, their weekend to do as much as they can. and still leave time for, oh, mundane things like eating, drinking and breathing.
yea, for now... while all you're seeing when you visitSgTripleS website is this under construction message...
in the background, there are a few girls working frantically to try and get the site up and running as early as they can...

geez, i've been sleeping later and later!! sometimes even i wonder how i manage to stay awake at work during the day.

The author of the original manga Han Yori Dango, Kami Youku, has praised Kim Hyun Joong for fitting the role of Hanazawa Rui to a tee. In the drama, he was somewhat autistic and cold, but he harbored so much feelings towards Shizuka Todo. Those loving eyes with such sadness completely melted the fans' hearts.
But outside of the drama, Kim Hyun Joong has a deadpan humour.
During that time when he had just accepted the role of Rui, he was asked by the media how he would portray a flower boy with a rather feminine personality. He had replied with total seriousness, "This is really a good question, and previously, I had thought about it for a long time too. Eventually, every night before I go to bed, I would try to hypnotize myself, 'I'm a flower, I'm a flower...'"
His funny words caused the entire audience to break out in laughter.

i like how strong a bond the boys seem to have amongst them. i guess there are good reasons why those korean entertainment agencies tend to make the boys of a new boyband live together for years when they're undergoing training before their debut. other than being able to be more in tune and to work and perform together better as a team, it's also good that they build strong ties during this time.
i guess whilst it's still not foolproof (i doubt that any method will be...), at least with the strong bond and ties, they're comparatively less likely to be affected so easily by rumours, by talk of who's more popular, or perception of who's doing more or who's doing less...
although we all know 'always and forever' is fast becoming a myth in these days, i still hope to see the boys last as long as they possibly and practically can.
chanced upon one particular chinese posting on hyunjoongchina earlier. it's the boys sharing their thoughts during their first concert in japan.
that's gotta be back in september 2006 during their step up concert in osaka, i believe. it was a great success. despite them being relatively new, and despite the lack of aggressive promotion, all seats were sold out. this gave them the confidence to hold a follow-up concert in tokyo the following january.

And because we've always been together, we've disliked one another, we've fought with one another, but if without them or you, I will not be standing here on this stage for sure. you know, i really really really think that's what hyun joong truly truly truly believes.
i've always had this thought that there's alot of pent-up feelings inside this boy, and i've always thought that he feels incredibly thankful and blessed that his singing career has actually happened (although he didn't quite become the rocker or bass guitarist that he wanted to be...)
and for so long as he's grateful for everything that's happened to him, for so long as he remains humbled and humble, i think this young man will do very very very well.
