heard that the taiwan FM was a HUGE, HUGE success. the boys were eager to make the fans happy, and the fans were eager to go wild.
seems like the there's plenty of fun and games. five lucky fans were drawn from the lucky draw to go on-stage, think they got some SS501 merchandise, like posters and such. read that one of the fans got to hug jung min!!
and... there was one very quick segment whereby hyun joong took off his outer shirt to show his lovely-lovely biceps! it was a very quick 3-second, but oh, so drool-worthy!!
i managed to see the clip after downloading it from rayfile. i hope someone will upload to share on YT soon.
and... i hope he will repeat this in hong kong, and... everywhere else, for that matter, wakaka!

Dashing SS501 Mesmerized 3,000 Fans, Promised to be Back for a Concert
The biggest magical charm from an idol is this: 'One can scream non-stop even just from looking at them from the screen!'
Popular idol group from Korea, SS501, held a fan meeting at Taipei International Convention Centre (TICC) on the evening of 28th. There was not a single empty seat in the venue of over 3,000 seats. The five members worked hard at displaying their good looks and charisma; every single word that they uttered drove the audience crazy, and they also revealed that there's a chance to 'move' their asian tour to Taiwan and to hold a concert in October.
After their debut four years ago, SS501 finally made their way to Taiwan. Although it was just a fan meeting, the fans who had been waiting for them for a long time, were very impatient and eager to meet them. The conversation and exchanges in the middle of the program were also super-big bonuses for the fans to interact with their beloved idols.
Once on-stage, it was no-holds-barred in terms of saying sweet nothings and loving words from the five of them, and the fans were overjoyed. They also apologised to everyone, saying "We've debut four years already, but have only come to Taiwan now. (We're) really sorry."
Hyung Joon even said, "When I'm abit older, I can get married to you!"
Other than saying his (signature) Chinese lines from the drama Boys Over Flowers, Hyun Joong also performed a short sexy dance. (*bb: WHOA!!)
Although there were some rows and confusion over ticketing matters before the fan meeting, but when SS501's MV started to play, the (fans') anxiety transformed into excitement instantaneously. Midway through the fan meeting, there was one part when the five of them took roses with them and came down from the stage to give to the fans, there was almost complete chaos.
The fan meeting ended with an encore LaLaLa, A Song Calling Out For You, after some two hours.
The record company has scheduled a press conference for SS501 in the afternoon of 29th, and they are expected to take the 8:20pm CX531 flight to Hong Kong to continue with the activities there.
and still working away now. yea, i know, i've a sad life. but hey, that's only this weekend. i sometimes have fun weekends, you know?! but oh my, work these few works has been near back-breaking! i'm so looking forward to my four-day break from tomorrow!

anyway, will just share abit about what i've read online.seems like the boys headed straight to hotel after they touched down at around noon yesterday. understand that they had a full schedule yesterday, so they just had a quick lunch in their own rooms before going on with their work. and last night, they stole some time to go to dintaifung for the world-famous soup-dumplings (xiao-long-bao 小笼包). they also had the fried rice, noodles and stuff....
this restaurant is like the must-stop for all foreign celebs to taipei, it seems... wuri yong joon was also there when he visited taipei...
i read somewhere that the boys were intrigued with the various condiments and sauces served up with the dishes, and were tasting this and that, and even added everything together just to see how they'd taste. well, tasted kindda funny, of course!
also read that hyun joong practically poured the entire bottle of chilli into his dish and yea, wolfed everything down.
guess those of us who have watched him in WGM know that he's very heavy-handed when it comes to 'spicing up' his food, always putting in lots and lots of chilli, salt, pepper, whatever... he likes his food with very rich flavour, i guess.or what we chinese call 重口味...
anyway, apparently the accompanying taiwanese staff were all totally shocked at how much chilli he'd poured into his dish.
now if you've been following SS501's news, there's no way you wouldn't know that the boys are now in taipei. yea, they'd arrived yesterday, and the fan meeting is supposed to be tonight.
but... there's actually an added activity this afternoon. remember i'd bloggedhere that other than the fan meeting, the organizer had added a picture-taking activity for charity? yea, groups of ten fans can get to take pics with the boys for NT100, and all proceeds will go to the United Way of Taiwan.
(*bb: actually i was just thinking NT100 is like so little! that's like S$5...? or did the media make a mistake and it's supposed to be NT1000? shrugs...)
anyway, the organizer wants to limited the number of participants for this event to just 1000 fans, meaning there would only be 100 pictures with 10 fans in each pic with the boys. i'd thought that this charity event would be incorporated into the fan meeting tonight, but nay, i was wrong!
seems like while the fan meeting's tonight, the charity photo-taking event was this afternoon! supposedly to start from 2pm...?
coz only 1000 fans will get the chance to have their pics taken with the boys, the taiwanese fans had started queuing from as early as (gasp!!) THREE days ago!

there're also quite alot of news coverage in taiwan on SS501's maiden visit to taiwan. many reported on the wild scene at the airport yesterday, reporting about how shoes and even clothes were found on on the floor at the airport, outside the airport... and also how friendly the SS501 boys were, stopping to smile at the fans and to shake hands with them. and oh, seems like some girls actually broke into tears coz hyun joong shook their hands.
and oh, apparently there's a little episode of the SS501 boys walking out from the airport to get into their vehicle, and some fans tried to reach out to touch hyun joong. believe one nearly touched his face, or did she really touch it?
anyway, the security was starting to toughen up and wanted to push the fans away. hyun joong had reached out with one hand to try and stop him from pushing the fans. but the security didn't seem to notice, so he reached out to stop him from pushing the fans with both his hands. hmmm.... quite nice of him, i thought...

remember wuri yong joon had gone to japan earlier this year? yea, he waslearning lacquer in morioka before heading towards tokyo. and of course, when he's in tokyo, he'd visited his own restaurant, gosireh.
this was when he was there on 5th march to sample the spring set. the clip was playing in the restaurant from 17th april to 18th may.

p.s. i remember that night... fans were waiting outside the restaurant in an orderly manner. and i know of a couple of fans who managed to see him that night.
they'd kindly described to me how he'd look that night. said he was in black and was also wearing a beanie. also said that he looked so young, so tall and slim, and so handsome.

fellow fan HB_HJ2008 from taiwan was at the airport earlier today. i guess some of you would be able to tell from her ID that she's a joongboer, ya? anyway, she's holding up a board as she stood there to receive shillang at the airport.
she was initially blocked from the cameras and all, so she moved abit to the right of the cam so that shillang could see her, or rather, it - the board.
and seems like he did see the board even from the beginning, peeking through the heads and cams...
he's still looking, and checking out the board.

and yea, still looking, but that ghost of a smile was beginning to look even more obvious!
this was the point when shillang was the closest to HB_HJ2008, he was standing right in front of her. smiling, and can you see the movement of his arm? can you see that his arm was raised?
yea, he actually raised his arm and touched the board!!
he's almost past her now... but he's still looking! and noticed that the hint of a smile is now a FULL smile with teeth and all?
don't believe me that he actually broke into a fully smile?

seems like young saeng had seen the board first. he even turned around, not sure if he's trying to tell shillang to check it out, or he's just trying to make sure shillang saw the board. baby seemed to have noticed it as well.
but hehe, shillang didn't need any reminders at all. he's already looking at the board when his two dongseungs saw it.

btw they say thousands, not hundreds, of fans were at the airport today. quite possibly, fans for SJ and also SS501 came up to over 3,000 people.
you know what? i think the fact that the two groups had arrived at about the same time on the same day contributed to the big turnout. i mean, fans from both sides probably wouldn't want to see their idols 'losing face' if their fans' turnout was smaller. so both sides were trying to garner and gather more fans to go receive the idols at the airport.
for someone who'd never, ever, been a fan of any actor, i've fallen hard, very very hard, for a certain korean man... (and now, since jan 2009, a certain 'alien' hailing from korea too...)
