[KHJ] haptic mission
hehe, i guess the word 'mission' has a wonderful and very special significance to the joongboers, ya? i just can't read this word and not think about the lettuce couple.
like... could this finger-pointing thingy be a mission....? her mission...?
anyway, i've already sorta explained the storyboard of anycall haptic mission CFs here. today, am gonna be posting the links to the first two instalments from the series. it all seems mighty interesting, now if only i could understand what on earth they're talking about.
there're three parts to each instalment.
this first one is about their interview. quality.... caller ring... haha!
and this second one is about their first day at work... so cute, that first evening, think they had a department dinner gathering or something. hyun joong forgot the lyrics and stumbled ever so cutely over that coz i'm stupid song from BoF!
and... here's another pic from the coca cola beverage CF.
p.s. work's a b*tch lately. was in the office till 10pm last night and also tonight. god, i'm so tired i think my back will break...
thank god it's gonna be a short this week.
p.p.s. and i did read all of your comments here. forgive me if i don't reply to each and every one of the comments, but i really do read them and i really do appreciate them much much.
thank you all for your understanding. and thank you too, to those who had taken the trouble to email me about it as well.
well, seems like they had continued with the shooting on 25th april. and this time, they'd made sure there's food on-site!!
i really really really prefer him with darker hair; long or short's fine... and i definitely prefer him eating and resting more!
and even more recently, like today (27th, monday), he was still working on yet another CF... this time it's for that beverage drink by coca cola.
i'd lifted this pic frombaidu, but the original source seems to be MRET.
but... if this is really the beverage CF shooting, then where's the beverage in the shoot?
and... yippee!! the soompi joongbo thread is already at page 990! another ten more pages to go, and hopefully it will hit 1,000 pages by 29th april!
what's with 29th april? hehe, that's joongbo's anniversary! and it's also my fave joongbo MV-maker michsann's birthday!
she's made a new MV, titled forever more... and it actually gave me goosebumps!!
me thinks the way shillang looks at his buin gives his love away each and every time. and me thinks the way buin averts her eyes so shyly speaks of something mushy inside!
seems like this clip was posted onJOB, and our dear tomato has kindly posted it on quilt to share with all of us. thanks much much, tomato!
hee, he looks so cute playing with that white hat!
and in the beginning of the clip, he actually said he felt shy, haha!
after so many covers, so many photo-shoot, he still feels shy and self-conscious?! actually, yea, he does try to be as professional as can be, but i've always felt he ain't the sort to totally let go. there's always this sense of restraint about him, don't you think? something controlled, something held back...
i suppose that's not exactly a good thing if your profession happens to be an actor, haha! that's why wuri yong joon cannot fake acting. if he has to show anger in a drama, then he really has to get angry. if he has to shed tears, then he really has to feel something and cry... he just can't fake it.
maybe that's why each role he plays takes (or izzit more like sucks?) so much out of him that he can only handle one role at one time, and he takes a longer time than others to get himself out of that role. and so many times, we actually feel and see traces of the character he's playing in him!
remember how we really believe he's jun sahng, the lonely and misunderstood high school student? that he's min hyeong, the bright and talented guy from abroad? that he's frank shin, the ruthless M&A specialist who's so dogged in his love? that he's jaeho, the one who pains us so to watch and yet loves so much that we can't stop watching? in fact, when he was filming HWRL, he was so into his role that he actually felt nauseous and so unwell that he went for an MRI scan!
wait... how on earth did i get to talking about these things...? oh ya, i was going to repost that cosmo BTS clip... i ALWAYS digress!!
you can clickhereto download the clip. thanks to mariko for sharing sightseeing boat joongou's link.
and i suppose it's okay to repost those two WOW pics from cosmo? after all, i've seen them all over bae-cyberspace by now... i must be the last bae-fan on earth to repost them...
do let me know if the coast's still not clear, k?
and promise me you will still go buy the original and support him, k? okie, okie, i know the first print is totally sold-out, but hey, am sure they will have second, or third, or fourth runs!!
p.s. liezle has asked a mighty interesting question on her blog! notti notti liezle!
p.p.s. wanna read about how the hotelier PD talked about how wuri yong joon just could not fake acting? click here.
p.p.p.s. have i redeemed myself for today? i did blog about wuri yong joon, you know....?!! actually it's not so much i don't want to blog much about wuri yong joon, but there really ain't anything to blog about most of the days! he's such a low profile guy!
and... there're also bae-bits that i ain't supposed to share and repost, so....
and... thanks much much for all your support for my blog. on one hand, i feel kindda glad that some of you are this supportive, but i know that i really am losing blogders. and i know so long as i continue to blog about hyun joong, more and more bae-fans will leave.
and i can't seem to stay away from thejoongbo thread on soompi. if you're a joongber and haven't been there, you should!
i guarantee you lots of fun, laughter and positivity!
and... the believers are on a quest to reach 1,000 pages before the lettuce couple's anniversary on 29th april. if you can, go help, ya?
anyway, a lazy sunday today... i don't feel like blogging heavy stuff. so just wanna share that i'm abit of a fan ofjoongboer michsann's MVs.
remember that MV i knew i loved you? i truly love that one, and yea, it's by michsann!
anyway, wanna share a few more of her excellent joongbo MVs with you tonight. enjoy..
Shillang's Heartfelt Messages to Buin
Buin Pulled By Gravity
and... i've saved the best for last! i really do like this one!!
Grow Old with You
p.s. incidentally, if you wanna know more about SS501 after my SS501 posting, you can click here to read myoce's entry.lots of info and details about the boys there.
remember i'd blogged about hyun joong's obsession about doing pedicure (or what he calls trimming his GF's toenails?)
he said it twice very recently, actually... once when he was asked at his ownfan meeting on 31st march that he's even willing to trim the toenails of someone he loves.
then during a call-out program, he practically said the same thing, that he would like to trim his GF's toenails.
hehe, does he have foot fetish?
remember WGM epi 36? he had talked about doing pedi for bu-in during ant's tour, and he really did it towards the end of their 'marriage'!! he gave her such a colourful look too!
she's still wearing her nails (both hands and feet, i suppose) in different colours! what's significant is although yellow was never one of her fave colours, we joongboers find that her index finger tends to be painted yellow since WGM. and... we joongboers tend to refer to shillang as the yellow-haired boy, so... hmmm...
he looked adorably cute as he tried to concentrate and focus on painting her toenails... but poor thing, he was so tired that he was dozing off as he was doing it...
you know, there's really something quite intimate about letting a guy touch your feet, ya? let alone holding it abit and painting your toenails for you. i've gotta say my feet ain't the prettiest part of me, so i prefer that people don't stare at my feet at such proximity, haha!
don't you think she really really really looks like a young woman in love in this one?
this look was captured whilst he was painting her toenails!
and... i just can't resist NOT posting this part of the WGM clip... bear with me, k, if you're not a joongboer.
and that's not the ONLY proof of hyun joong's foot fetish. remember how this? hehe, i can still remember how bu-in had squealed!!
and... much later, when they were in busan... instead of blowdrying jins with the hairdryer after its bath, he was actually blowdrying her foot!!
cute, ya?
talking about cute... not many boybands can boast of such cuteness! i mean, it ain't easy to find a boyband where all the boys are cute, ya?
this one's from the le coq sportif shot.
and i like hyun joong's slight smile and his expression in this one!
god knows i've blogged about his feet, his toes enough times in the past. need a refresher course? click here.
anyway, it sure didn't take long for a fellow fan to zoom in on his clean, sexy feet from this AB pic.
yup, yup, koo with joon didn't waste much time...
and oh btw have you gotten your cosmo yet? i haven't... still waiting for my own copy.
but hey, check out how thick this issue is!! fuyuka had taken this pic.
and oh, snowkin shared that the mag weighs about 2kg! and oh, it's about 2.5-3cm thick.
btw snowkin also shared that fuyuka's blog is one of the most visted bae-blogs! i mean, i've always known her blog's popular, but i didn't know how popular... understand that the blog now boasts of over 2,200,000 visits to-date.
gosh... that's a lot of visits! i've got only around 700,000 visits.
then again, hehe, i'm just a little blog indulging in my own little ramblings.
btw i got an email today from a fellow (bae, of course) fan telling me she's stopped coming to my blog... coz there's info on some other fellow other than wuri yong joon on my blog.
hmmm... me wondering how many blogders i've lost coz of the little 4D prince, haha! thank god i blog mainly for joy, and not for blogder traffic. but still, i can't say i'm totally unaffected when someone tells me she's 'left' me.
p.s. there's a fantastic article in the latest issue of hallyu fan in japan. it's an article whereby norikoiida got to interview the lacquer painting master mr jeon yong bak.
our dear snowkin has done the chinese translation. click here to read.
hmmm... seems like it's that time of the year again...
yea, the annual gathering of malaysian bae fanclub!
here're the details.

Thank you and hope to see you all!!
For more info, you can either contact yokee (absolutelybyj@yahoo.com) orxiaoyi (sowyeey@gmail.com).
p.s. hmmm... wondering about singapore fanclub...
perhaps it's time to inject some new blood if the existing committee members are too busy, or not interested anymore...?
i've said here and here that i hope hyun joong retains his childlike bluntness and cute 4D-ness for a longer time.
sure, he will grow up one day, we all do, but i hope he can keep this special, unique part of him longer.
i don't think it will ever go away, this special part of him... but as he matures, he may choose to hide this special part more. in the past, he's only part of a boyband and they tended to stick around with one another, move about with one another... still pretty confined in his circle and stuff.
but if he starts to dabble in other things like acting and all, he will invariably come into contact with other people. some good, some bad, and some who will make him realise that most other people go about their lives with measured words and guarded responses.
and as he comes into contact with other people, his exposure will widen and he may realise that it's perhaps best to go with the flow abit more. smile more, even if he doesn't really feel like it. say politically correct things during interviews, even if he doesn't really feel that way... you know, stuff like that.
so when i read the following news onchonsa's blog, i worried alittle.
just a little.
Kyu Jong: Hyun Joong became similar to Ji Hoo after the filming of KPN
Kyu Jong revealed that Hyun Joong became somewhat similar to the character of Ji Hoo, whom he played in KPN.
Kyu Jong was asked by the MCs of Happy Together when he participated in the programme on the 23rd if Hyun Joong had changed at all after being Ji Hoo in KPN. He replied that before, Hyun Joong used to be brash, whereas now he has become somewhat more calm in character, adding that he felt like he had turned into Ji Hoo.
When he was asked if he was jealous of Hyun Joong's success by Park Myung Soo, his reply was how could he be jealous of his member's success, adding that it was great that he had that success, displaying the close friendship between them.
*Credits: Nate.com*
why did i say i just worried alittle? coz it could be because he's still in the jihoo mode and has not come out of it totally. coz it could be because he's still tired and hasn't recovered from lethargy completely...
i really really hope once he's gotten back into the 'leadah' mode, he will be our endearing little 4D prince once again.
on another note, just in case you haven't had a chance to visitliezle's blog these two days, will just repost this clip from SS501 whereby they gave a message to their fans.
and.... liezle's even gotta mymy to help translate what the boys said. thanks gals!
Kim Hyun Joong : Hello... SS501 : We are SS501! Kim Kyu Jong : Thanks for everyone who went to our concert. Park Jung Min : Did you had fun? Heo Young Saeng : Our album will soon be on sale. Kim Hyung Joon : The five us again will go to meet you soon. Kim Hyun Joong : Please look forward to it. SS501 : We are SS501! Byebye! Park Jung Min : Call, okay? Kim Hyung Joon : Call me! Park Jung Min : Yo! Kim Hyung Joon : Peace! Kim Kyu Jong : I'm Kyu Jong. Park Jung Min : Again I'm Jung Min. Kim Kyu Jong : All because of you all. [not sure of this line] Park Jung Min : Really, we can feel you supporting for us.
hmmm... after going for the same girl in BoF, hyun joong was up against LMH in the war of beverages off-screen. remember i'd blogged about hyun joong for coca cola and LMH for pepsi? click hereto read more.
anyway, looks like that's not all... read this!
Lee Min Ho vs Kim Hyun Joong Again
credits to: coolsmurf @ allkpop.com
After their love triangle rivalry in Boys Before Flowers, Lee Min Ho and Kim Hyun Joong will do battle once again on a magazine cover. Korea's Asta TV magazine for May will be releasing double cover issues, featuring Lee Min Ho and Kim Hyun Joong separately for the first time in their history.
According to Asta chief editor, Jeon Seung Hwa, "Both guys are enjoying extremely high popularity at the moment. So we decided to release double covers for our May issue. Although the May issue features Hyun Joong and his SS501 members, the fact is that when he was on the cover for our April issue and it sold out within 4 days. We had to do a reprint because of the demand and that shows how popular he is right now."
Most recently, they were also pitted in another rivalry after Min Ho was picked as the model for Pepsi's Nex while Hyun Joong will model for Coca Cola's Dynamic Kin.
okie, here's a closer look at the respective covers.
how come i've got a feeling that LMH's cover was done up specially, whilst hyun joong and the boys' cover was more like something taken off an existing album huh?
p.s. before i go sleep, wanna share a pic of the boys in their le coq sportif outfits... hehe, there's some talk amongst fans that kyu jong really looks like hyun joong in this one. some of them had to really look and check to make sure they got who's who right.
can you tell easily which one's hyun joong?
p.p.s. and oh, hyun joong's fanclub (kim hyun joong perfect) has donated 10,000,000 korean won (approx US$7,500) for the pediatric children in korea.
now you gals probably all know that hyun joong is fronting the samsung anycall haptic cellphones, ya? other than kim bum and kim joon who are already part of the haptic team, sexy son dam bi has also joined them.
yea, the four of them are now the faces for the cellphone... there's apparently a series of CFs created to showcase the cellphone via a storyline. the storyline starts with these four vying for employment for the cellphone company, they went through the selection, interview and eventually got recruited to join the company. then the series of CFs will also show them at work, first day at their desk, attending meetings, eating at the staff canteen, etc.
me thinks it's interesting!
okay, here's the haptic mission CF.
izzit just me, or does mission remind you of the lettuce couple too?
and this is part 1 of the story...

p.s. and, you should support sparkskey by visiting her blog! besides, the download links for these clips are also available on her blog.
spring or not, gotta say i'm not crazy about the design of the pamphlet. what's with those coloured checks on the right?
a close-up of wuri yong joon.
now for pics that i like abit more... from cosmo!
apparently, there're wallies for us to download!
and... now that i've 'fed' you with bae-bits, i wanna 'force' you to indulge me as i share with you abit of my saturday. supposed to have potluck lunch with some JF gals, but something cropped up, so i had to give it a miss.
but.... i was able to go for my potluck dinner with my non-bae friends though. three girlfriends and i spent a lovely evening at one of the girls' home to have kimchi nabe (our fave!!)
we met in the late afternoon to do some quick shopping in town... so by the time we got to the girlfriend's home, we were starving!! so R quickly deep-fried some super-yummylicious wings for us first...
i tell you, super-yummylicious still doesn't describe how good they were! haha, she was passing us serving after serving of the wings! the first serving came, we wolfed it down whilst saying that the wings would go down great with beer.
so the beer came... but we'd finished all the wings!
just as we were giggling over how we had wings but no beer, and by the time the beer came, we had no wings, R had passed us another serving of the wings.
PERFECTO!!
meanwhile, the kimchi nabe's stewing in the background... and when the stock's boiling, J added the wings. hehe, we all like our wings really really really soft, so we tend to cook the wings abit longer.
and... for whatever reason, we decided to try our hand at making tteopoki(korean rice cakes). earlier, i'd emailed a fellow bae-fan for the recipe. here's what she'd replied:
very simple.
Sol-mart used to sell those instant type ones, but the sauce was horrible and not spicy at all. Don't buy this type.
but if you don mind cooking on your own, here is the recipe:
1. Put the rice cake and fishcakes in boiling water (3-4cups) and let it cook. 2. Meanwhile, add light soya sauce (1 tbsp or slightly more) and stir. 3. Add 1tbsp sugar. Stir. 4. Add quail eggs, cabbage, sliced carrot, or any ingredients u like (optional) 5. Add 3-5 tbsp of korean chilli paste (from the big red plastic box type) and stir. 6. Keep stirring to prevent the sauce from 'clogging'... 7. When the sauce becomes quite thick, test the rice cakes. If they have turned soft and chewy, then you can serve.
It should take no longer than 25 minutes. Any later the rice cake will turn soggy.
okay, my friends and i read the email and decided that the instructions sounded simple enough.... after our town shopping, we had gone supermarketing and bought the nabe soup stock, wagyu beef for steamboat, pork, wings, cabbage, potato starch sticks, japanese rice cakes...
and then we also picked up the ingredients for our tteopoki. but instead of cabbage, we decided to use kangkong, coz we tried that in korea and it was nice! and quail eggs... a must, since we all like quail eggs very very very much!
boiling the eggs first...
getting the ingredients ready whilst the eggs were cooking. oopsies! the beer's not supposed to be in there, wakaka!
hehe, we put the entire pack of rice cakes into the pan!!
the instructions were really easy to follow... and before long, we had this!!
dinner was enjoyable since we girls were just chatting away and catching up on one another's lives. after dinner, we continued to sit around the table and chatted.
well, one of our friends E had just come back from tokyo last night and while she was there, we had gotten her to help us buy stuff. so we were going through our purchases. R bought quite a few clothing items and she was doing a personal fashion show for us... and we were squealing and giggling just watching her, and commenting on her outfits.
we'd also ordered stuff online and were also 'splitting the loot'... it was fun going through what one another bought.
what did i get from tokyo? well i saw nicky hilton wearing this pink peacock cardi from H&M matthew williamson from a website some days ago. and i sooooooo... adore this cardi!
but H&M won't be setting up shop in singapore until later part of this year. and we heard this piece's sold out in hong kong... hmmm...
ah, E's in tokyo! there're two(?) H&M in tokyo? so the quick-thinking R quickly texted her and yeah!!! we got our cardigans!!
here's mine.
yea, i know i should not pair this with anything red, haha! and oh, the peacock feather detail runs all the way to the back of the cardi. it's a cotton-cashmere blend, so it's soft and comfy! can't wait to wear it!
and...dang dang dang! i got this too!
for some reason, i just have a thing for skull designs... and oh boy, a goyard with colourful skulls?!
and hehe, i also got this skull scarf! i know i'm abit slow, this trend is kindda over now.... but what the heck, i didn't start to like skull designs because they got trendy a couple of years back, ya?
this comes in black, white and gray... i went for the gray. the colour doesn't show up very well here, but it's a very soft gray. i like i like i like!
and... haha, you wouldn't imagine that someone who likes skull designs would like something like this, ya? pearls...?
but i do!
guess you could say it's been a nice saturday. but i have to work tomorrow, sighs... not 'go out and work' work, but 'stay-home-and-work' work...
but at least i had an enjoyable friday night and saturday, will share more with you after i share some bae-bits and bae-clips, ya?
came back pretty late last night, so i didn't share the CFs yet with you, but yea, thosemegane ichiba CFs are out!
this is the 'run to uncle'(?) version. clickhere to download.
this is the 'run to date'(?) version. clickhere to download.
and this is the dog version. click here to download.
oh, btw heard that this is the pair of glasses featured...
on btw, if you want to check out thekick the habit special feature in cosmo, you can check out xiaoyi's blog. she has shared some of the pics, and also included thetwo WOW pics that i'd posted but later removed.
basically after i posted those pics, i'd received an email asking me (very nicely) to remove those pics due to copyright issues. i guess we should respect that, and understand that the publication has to do what it has to do to maximize circulation and magazine sales. i know some bae-sites and bae-blogs still post them, and you might be wondering why i haven't done so... well, it's because i was asked not to.
i guess i will wait awhile longer before i share the pics, wait till it's been 'enough time' after the magazine's been released for sale. maybe next week, or the week after, i may start posting them. sorry you can't see them here. but hey, at least i try to point you to the right places to see them, haha!
okay, now i wanna move on to non-BYJ stuff, so you can stop reading now...
wanna share my friday night. i dunno why, but there's something about going out on friday nights that i like. it's like a nice little reward after a hard week's work. it's like an 'official' announcement to myself that the weekend is here. and, personally i've always preferred nights to day, and i absolutely hate the heat, so nights are cooler...
so i found myself saying 'yes' very quickly when a good pal asked if i wanted to do dinner and drinks on friday night.
he came to pick me from my office at 6:30pm. now that's really saying something about our friendship, coz my office is located at an area with one of the most horrendous traffic jams in singapore. especially on friday evenings, where the mrt trains are your best bet if you don't wanna be caught in the highway jam. but ah... he ran the risk of facing being caught in the jam both ways coming to pick me, and driving us for dinner.
thanks, pal!
anyway, we decided to have chinese food that night. hmmm... don't think i've had chinese food with him before... he picked hai tien lo, which is supposedly one of the top ten chinese restaurants here in singapore. other than good food and good service, it's also famous for its view. situated on level 37 of the pan pacific hotel in the marina bay area, it does serve up a pretty nice view of the cityscape.
will just quickly share some pics, as i've got quite a few other things i wanna blog about...
here, the entrance to the restaurant.
me, with my cloudy bay sauvignon blanc. gotta say this, and the fifth leg by devil's lair, are two of my fave australian white wines. ya, ya, i know, i've put on soooo... much weight that it's REALLY showing on my face! even my mom's been nagging me about the colas and the snacks i have in the middle of the night... sighs...
let's move on to happier things... food food food!
oopsies, i've forgotten what this dish was... but it's a starter with tofu and scallop and prawn...? this is not a strong-flavoured dish, but just nice to tease the tastebuds to be ready for the onslaught of good food that's gonna follow....
one of their signature dishes, the duet of prawn tossed in wasabi mayonnaise sauce and prawn tossed in butter and lemon sauce.
how much do i love this one?
so much that i just have to become ONE with it! haha, ya, everything was gone from the plate!
this one's great too! the 'explosion' of taste of the perfectly crispy peking duck skin and the pan-fried foie gras... ahhh...
the soup... mine was the double-boiled shark's bone soup with seafood. so tasty! oops, but my pic turned out really really blurry, so haha, i'm posting my friend's soup instead! but i've forgotten what he'd ordered, but i do know it's nice since i stole a spoonful of it...
ah, the chicken fillet in red wine reduction... by this time, we were starting to feel abit full already, since we had ordered two portions of everything you saw above. on hindsight, we should have just ordered one portion and shared everything, hmmm...
but even though i said i was full already, i finished the chicken. hee, my friend finished his too!
haiyo, how come this pic's upside down? i thought i'd rotated all pics and 'fixed' them already? nevermind, ya? this was the softshell crab, supposedly good too from the review.
and good it was!
the lobster. we ordered only one serving of this, and they had halved the lobster for us. it's deep fried and tossed in some butter-lemony sauce. honestly, this dish was only so-so.... at $48, we should have just ordered four servings of the wasabi prawns, haha!
but all in all, it was a fantastic meal. the wine's good, the food's good, the service's good, the view's good, the company's good. so it was a really enjoyable night.
but the restaurant wasn't even half full. i think there were only like five tables of diners when we were there on friday night. is the economy THAT bad?
and remember when i'd blogged about going for martinis at orgo? hehe, went there again last night after dinner.
surprisingly, it wasn't full like that night, and we didn't even have to wait for a table.... good for us, bad for them, i guess...?
the view from where we were sitting... yea, it's on a roof terrace and it's open-air and open-top...
guess what this is? this is actually the lamp underneath our table. the tables at orgo are all glass table-tops with four panes of glass holding the table-top. and within the four glass panes is a lamp. the lamp underneath each table is different, and this is how ours looked like.
we ordered martinis again. my friend ordered the soursop and calamansi martini (which was nice!) and i tried one of the two dry martinis - the premium green tea martini. it was too dry for my liking, hmmm...
next my friend tried the apple and shiso martini. what's shiso? the waitress said it's a type of japanese herb. i suppose that's the leaf-thingy floating atop the martini. i decided to have a glass of red wine; although i was wondering why they had served it THIS chilled...
and... we discovered that they serve great daiquiris at orgo!! this is the strawberry daiquiri and i absolutely loved it! gotta 'fess up that this was my friend's drink, but i sipped more than just a few sips, hehe!
for someone who'd never, ever, been a fan of any actor, i've fallen hard, very very hard, for a certain korean man... (and now, since jan 2009, a certain 'alien' hailing from korea too...)
