[vod] byj, the voice of green

and yea... all the earlier postings were all gearing up for.... THIS!

courtesy of 413conan

those of you new to my blog may be unfamiliar with my older postings. for the 'interests' of these newbies, shall just be long-winded and declare my immense and eternal love for wuri yong joon's voice.

i'd said here that...

"he was every bit as beautiful as i had imagined. and more! but what really struck me was his beautiful voice. velvety rich, it's almost like a caress on the skin to hear him speak. and he looked so shy!! so cute so cute so cute!!"

and i'd also said here that...

"Naturally, I did not understand a word of what he said. But that did not reduce any pleasure of hearing him first-hand. His voice was as lovely as in the dramas that we’ve watched countless times. It was not too high, not too low, a very nice manly baritone coated with a velvety film of sweetness. Just perfect!

I thought I could drown in the sight of this handsome man with such lovely voice. Really."

ahhhh... i truly truly truly love this man's voice!

and... if you're wondering what he'd said in the VOD for Seal The Deal, here, i've lifted joanne's posting from quilt. yea, it's wuri yong joon's narration for the Seal The Deal campaign.

No matter where you are living, warning message sent from the Earth is clear.

Due to climatic change that becomes serious every day, we will carry burden on our back that we are not able to cope with. As glaciers melt in both Poles and sea level rises with rising temperature on Earth, several million people are in danger. Scientists give warnings. If the Earth temperature rises by only 2 degree, there occurs grand extinction of living things on the Earth. By year 2025, two-thirds of human race will live in areas where water is in short supply, and mandatory displacement of millions of climatic refugees will become a reality.

We might have to inherit diseases, drought, and starvation to the next generation.

The climatic change is the reality. It is progressing in this very moment.

The greenhouse gas that we emit have reached its peak at this time.

Mr. Bahn Kimoon, the Secretary General at UN, determined the climatic change as the top priority task for human race in 21st Century.

And, in December 2009, in Copenhagen, Denmark, there holds a general assembly of the concerned countries for the Climatic Change Agreement which will decide on the Earth's future. There, leaders of various nations will discuss a new, long-term and effective climatic changes.

The 'Seal the Deal' Campaign, which is to close the Climatic Change Agreement in Copenhagen, is waiting for signatures from every one in Global Village who desires the conclusion of the Agreement.

From Africa,,,Europe,,,and to Asia, the 'Seal the deal' Campaign is collecting the wills of all Global Village people. Not only the experts but also the people in the entire world are aware of the necessity of the Climatic Change Agreement for the only one Earth.

The new Agreement will lead the green growth and sustainable low carbon economy.

The 'Seal the Deal' Campaign, to be accomplished by our signatures, are moving the policy makers, urging NGO Media, businesses, and general public in entire world to participate in the signature, and informing the importance of the climatic changes and the meeting in Copenhagen.

The success of the Copenhagen meeting depends on the following 4 agenda...

First, the developed countries will positively agree on the reduction goal of the greenhouse gases. Secondly, the developing countires will practice the plans to reduce the greenhouse gases. Thirdly, a fund is raised for the poor countries, victims of the climatic changes, to confront the climatic changes. Lastly, there is a guarantee that this fund can be used fairly and effectively.

Then, what are the things that we can do?

Please connect to homepage of the 'Seal the Deal' now and participate in the campaign... And then, place you signature..Our signatures will determine the history of mankind... We can make changes... Are we going to tell our children that we did nothing at the moment when we had hope?..

Seal the Deal...
Your signatures will save the Earth...

and... i've lifted the background of the Seal The Deal campaign from here to share with you.

About Seal the Deal!

The UN-led Seal the Deal Campaign aims to galvanize political will and public support for reaching a comprehensive global climate agreement in Copenhagen in December.

Climate change affects us all. Nine out of every ten disasters recorded are now climate related. Rising temperatures and more frequent floods, droughts and storms affect millions of people’s lives. This is set against a backdrop of financial and food insecurity.

On December 7, governments will gather in Copenhagen, Denmark to respond to one of the greatest challenges facing humanity. The main question will be how protect the planet and create a green economy that will lead to long-term prosperity.

Reaching a deal by the time the meeting ends on December 18 will depend not only on complex political negotiations, but also on public pressure from around the globe.

The United Nations has launched “Seal the Deal” campaign that encourages users to sign an online, global petition which will be presented by civil society to governments of the world.

The petition will serve as a reminder that our leaders must negotiate a fair, balanced and effective agreement in Copenhagen, and that they must seal a deal to power green growth, protect our planet and build a more sustainable, prosperous global economy that will benefit all nations and people.

THERE IS NO TIME TO WASTE:

STAMP YOUR VOTE
AND SEAL THE DEAL!

and the UNEP also has a youtube channel. here's a compelling clip that's being featured right now on the channel.

Six powerful voices.
Four stunning continents.
One compelling message.

there're more clips on the UNEP site too. click here to watch.

you may think one individual's strength is too small to make an insignificant difference to the shape of things to come. you may think you alone cannot change the world. you may think the happenings in the places mentioned above are too far and remote from where you are.

but, have you thought about what would happen if everyone else thinks like you? if nobody makes an effort at all, thinking that someone else will do it, or that it takes a much bigger movement than just one person's individual effort to make a difference to saving gaia, then i can assure you that nothing will change and the children of the future may not have a future at all.

click here to read about how every little bit counts. yea, 'every little bit counts' is sorta like the big theory in the whole green movement and energy-conservation exercise.

of course, like i've always said, there're two sides to everything. yea, even in this. there's another school of thought that advocates that people don't do certain 'little things' to conserve energy, as those 'little things' sometimes end up consuming even more energy.

but these so-called 'arguments' aside, i still think it's important to understand the principle of 'every little bit counts'. at the very least, we can try not to waste resources, ya? if you don't need a plastic carrier, then don't take it even if it's offered to you. if you would carry a hanky around, i can assure you fewer tissue packs will be used up. if you can walk or use the public transport, don't drive. if you can take a shower, don't take a bath.... it's all about making a conscious effort and a commitment on the 'little things', ya?

and... heard of the black google? click here to read about blackle. and i also find blackle tips useful.

and yea, before you shut down your computer today, go SEAL THE DEAL.

hi princess,

So true, every little bit counts. If each one of us makes a conscious effort to reduce, recycle and reuse, it will make a big difference to the planet. Initially, it may require us to make certain adjustments to our lifestyle, but after a while, they become habit and it's like no effort at all. I remember I used to think it was such a hazzle to separate kitchen scraps and recyclables from the regular garbage, now it's just business as usual.

I hope all company executives can rethink their product manufacturing process and government administrators will enforce 'going green' in their policies, then our future generations can still enjoy the beautiful world that we are living in now.

I am so proud of Yong Joon for getting involved and leading the way to a safer planet.

love .... jaime
